Best calming cream for acne prone skin- Sulwhasoo Herblinic EX Restorative Ampoules review

I first heard about the Sulwhasoo range from one of my favourite Youtubers- Lili. Her blog title is I am a beauty junky and that is also the name of her YouTube channel. I don't remember her reviewing the Herblinic EX Restorative Ampoules but when I researched several Sulwhasoo products she talked about, I found a couple of reviews on Herblinic and was intrigued enough to order samples from Ebay.  I bought 30 samples and they lasted me 15 days ( using them day and night).

From the very first application, my skin was nourished like never before. I could tell that this was one amazing product.

This honey like cream/serum is apparently packed with medicinal herbs which are said to  help nourish and  repair damaged skin. It smells herby and to me that scent is calming. It looks like honey but it spreads easily and little goes a long way. The application can be a bit sticky, but I don't mind that. One sample is enough for my face and neck.

After I used the first 30 samples, my skin felt and looked better than before so I ordered 100 samples ( for about £25 from Ebay). Herblinic is very  important in my current regimen. I am using a strong Lactic acid treatment in attempt to diminish some of my indented scars left from acne breakouts. For the Lactic acid treatment to work, my skin needs to be very nourished, protected and moisturized. I've had no problems with the Lactic acid treatment so far and I think that is because of the Herblinic ampoules and Naruko's Tea Tree Night Gelly. I will write a separate review for this amazing product for oily skin from the King of skincare and beauty Niu Er. I love that man. I'd love to meet him one day. I wish that his beauty and skincare TV shows were translated...(sigh)

Back to Sulwhasoo's Herblinic EX Restorative Ampoules. Even before I started with the Lactic acid treatment, I always used tons of exfoliating products that were meant to refine pores. On occasion, I  would over exfoliate and my skin would then become tender and flaky. So, I've always been in need of a cream that would nourish, soothe, calm and repair. I did not have such a cream till now. I will never be without it.

Since I've been using the Herblinic ampoules, my skin has been feeling and looking almost perfect. During the past month I can report getting only one tiny spot which came on the day before yesterday ( that is a  day before my monthly cycle- surprise, surprise). I used Shiseido's Pureness Blemish Targeting gel and there is nothing of it today, just a small red dot which will fade in the next few days. I have a review of the wonderful Shiseido Pureness Blemish Targeting gel.

Have a happy and successful 2017 everyone!

Herblinic review - for another person it actually caused breakouts did not heal them

While I love this product I wanted you to have a look at not only positive reviews but some negative ones as well.

Another mixed review for you to consider.

Did I like using Manyo Factory Galactomyces niacin?

No. I will not repurchase Manyo Factory Galactomycesniacin again.

UPDATE:31/08/17 It has been 7 months since I wrote this post and in that time I've learnt that Niacin is a very well researched skin loving ingredient. I will be purchasing products containing Niacin :-) and hoping it will "shrink" my pores.

UPDATE:28/11/2017 As mentioned in my previous update, I wanted to try a Niacin product and I chose Dr.Troub Skin Returning Niaten serum with 10% Niacinamide. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and so far so good. I think my pores look more refined, but it could be my wishful thinking that is tricking my eyes. Sadly, this product is only 30ml and at almost £20, I would not be repurchasing it. I hear that The Ordinary have a nice Niacinamide serum and cheaper.

Observations about applying the product and how it felt on the skin

Applying it (Manyo Factory Galactomycesniacin) felt like applying water. No scent, no colour,…

Review: Naruko Tea tree shine control & blemish clear night gelly

As I am writing this blog post, I glance at the empty tub of the Naruko Tea tree night gelly ( that is the actual spelling on the tub)  I can't bare to throw it away yet. I absolutely loved using it.

But before I tell you anything else about this product, I must tell you this:  This was the best smelling skin care product I have ever used. I bet you are surprised. After all it is called a Tea tree night gelly and as we know tea tree doesn't smell nice at all. But this product does not smell of tea tree oil. Ok, may be there is just a hint of tea tree, but a nice smelling one. To be precise, the gelly smells like a fresh spring morning: crisp and cool, delicately scented as snowdrops  and with a gentle hint of mint. That's why I can't bare to throw away the empty tub yet, I keep on sniffing it...

The gelly applies smoothly and it feels very cool on the skin.  I didn't like that at first because I prefer skin care products that feel warm or at least not cool. But I go…
