Review: Dr.Jart+ V7 Renewal Serum

I love everything about this serum except that it comes in only 30ml.

When it comes to skincare products I always use too much. I finished the 30ml in no time..

Light, cool, non-sticky, delicately fresh scent, this serum was a joy to apply. Some people comment that it is too "slippery" and not suitable to apply under make up, but that has not been my experience. I apply several more layers of skincare and sun protection on top of this serum so I have not experienced any such issues.

Did I notice any positive changes to my skin? No. But let us consider the possible reasons. First of all, my skin has been looking and feeling pretty good for months. Second of all, I did not use it for a very long time. And thirdly,  I think that some skin care products don't deliver visible skin benefits straight away, but gradually improve the skin's health.

I will repurchase this serum because it was very pleasant to use and I believe that it was formulated really well. Here is what I mean.

It is supposed to boost collagen and as a result restore a youthful radiance. I am interested in all products that claim to boost collagen.

It contains Aloe Vera which is very nourishing, soothing and calming for the skin.

It contains a 7 Vitamin complex which is supposed to nurture and protect the skin. This 7 Vitamin complex is described as "revolutionary" but I don't know why. If I find out I will let you know.

It is supposed to heal scar tissue and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This effect is possible because the serum is formulated with Nanoliposome Technology. As I am in the process of treating my indented acne scars, I am very interested in products that reduce scar tissue.

It contains Vita 3 complex which is supposed to reduce the appearance of pigmentation caused by acne and  sun damage. I have both types of pigmentation so you can understand why I am excited about using this product long term.

It delivers high levels of antioxidant protection against free radicals damage.

It contains both Vit. B3 and B5 which improve the skin's resilience, promote cellular renewal and prevent premature aging.

It is also enriched with Vit. C which protects the skin from environmental stress.

It contains Vit. E which deeply nourishes the skin.

The serum is described as perfect for tired, stressed and irritated skin because it leaves the skin looking youthful, rejuvenated and healthy.

As you can tell, I really like the formula of this serum because it addresses every skin concern that I have. I look forward to repurchasing it :-) using it long term and updating you on its effect on my skin.

Galactomyces & Bifidalacto Complex products+ Several UPDATES

Did I like using Manyo Factory Galactomyces niacin?

No. I will not repurchase Manyo Factory Galactomycesniacin again.

UPDATE:31/08/17 It has been 7 months since I wrote this post and in that time I've learnt that Niacin is a very well researched skin loving ingredient. I will be purchasing products containing Niacin :-) and hoping it will "shrink" my pores.

UPDATE:28/11/2017 As mentioned in my previous update, I wanted to try a Niacin product and I chose Dr.Troub Skin Returning Niaten serum with 10% Niacinamide. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and so far so good. I think my pores look more refined, but it could be my wishful thinking that is tricking my eyes. Sadly, this product is only 30ml and at almost £20, I would not be repurchasing it. I hear that The Ordinary have a nice Niacinamide serum and cheaper.

Observations about applying the product and how it felt on the skin

Applying it (Manyo Factory Galactomycesniacin) felt like applying water. No scent, no colour,…

Best calming cream for acne prone skin- Sulwhasoo Herblinic EX Restorative Ampoules review

I first heard about the Sulwhasoo range from one of my favourite Youtubers- Lili. Her blog title is I am a beauty junky and that is also the name of her YouTube channel. I don't remember her reviewing the Herblinic EX Restorative Ampoules but when I researched several Sulwhasoo products she talked about, I found a couple of reviews on Herblinic and was intrigued enough to order samples from Ebay.  I bought 30 samples and they lasted me 15 days ( using them day and night).

From the very first application, my skin was nourished like never before. I could tell that this was one amazing product.

This honey like cream/serum is apparently packed with medicinal herbs which are said to  help nourish and  repair damaged skin. It smells herby and to me that scent is calming. It looks like honey but it spreads easily and little goes a long way. The application can be a bit sticky, but I don't mind that. One sample is enough for my face and neck.

After I used the first 30 samples, my skin…

Review: Naruko Tea tree shine control & blemish clear night gelly

As I am writing this blog post, I glance at the empty tub of the Naruko Tea tree night gelly ( that is the actual spelling on the tub)  I can't bare to throw it away yet. I absolutely loved using it.

But before I tell you anything else about this product, I must tell you this:  This was the best smelling skin care product I have ever used. I bet you are surprised. After all it is called a Tea tree night gelly and as we know tea tree doesn't smell nice at all. But this product does not smell of tea tree oil. Ok, may be there is just a hint of tea tree, but a nice smelling one. To be precise, the gelly smells like a fresh spring morning: crisp and cool, delicately scented as snowdrops  and with a gentle hint of mint. That's why I can't bare to throw away the empty tub yet, I keep on sniffing it...

The gelly applies smoothly and it feels very cool on the skin.  I didn't like that at first because I prefer skin care products that feel warm or at least not cool. But I go…
